The following is a vote of the Board of Election 
Commissioners taken under date of October 1, 1959: 

Voted, to decrease the number of precincts in 
Ward 3 from 11 to 9 in number. 

Voted, to decrease the number of precincts in 
Ward 20 from 21 to 20 in number; and also to 
equalize precincts. 

Voted, to redraw precinct lines in Ward 16 so as 
to equalize precincts. 

Voted, to redraw precinct lines in Ward 17 so as 
to equalize precincts. 

Voted, to redraw precinct lines in Ward 18 so as 
to equalize precincts.

Voted, to redraw precinct lines in Ward 19 so as 
to equalize precincts. 

Voted, to redraw precinct lines in Ward 21 so as 
to equalize precincts. 



These changes, which will make a total of 275 precincts 
in the City of Boston, are set forth in a document 
forwarded to you under separate cover. 

The new precinct lines are to become effective 
December 31, 1959.
